Wuyi Mountain is home to red (black) tea, but primarily the origin of rock teas, a backed kind of Oolong tea grown originally in steep sandstone terrain.
Huangguanyin was a quite recently developed cultivar, aiming to concentrate the "rock" taste. Grown in Sancai garden outside the UNESCO park makes it an affordable rock tea experience.
