Jinjunmei, red (black) tea from Zhenghe, Fujian

from 4.00

Jinjunmei originates from Tongmu village inside the Nature Protection Area, a designated area, which is closed for foreigners, because of hosting a high level politicians meeting, inside UNESCO world heritage park of Wuyi Mountain. From the same village Zhengshan Xiaozhong or better known as Lapsang Souchong comes from, both teas are quite pricy if the really come from Tongmu.
Less original, but similar tasty is Jinjunmei from Zhenghe, using Dabai and Baihao cultivar for baking Jinjunmei. This floral and honey flavor tea is a great bargain and I continue to hunt for a similar bargain from Tongmu...
