Wuyi Mountain is home to red (black) tea, but primarily the origin of rock teas, a backed kind of Oolong tea grown originally in steep sandstone terrain. Dahongpao is the most famous rock tea cultivar and especially suitable for traditional aging and yearly re-baking. Sancai is located on the opposite site of the Wuyi UNSECO park and was three times oven baked, an excellent choice for an relaxing evening session.
